Early Childhood (801)

The National Evaluation Series™ Early Childhood (801) test has been adopted by the Connecticut State Department of Education. This test has replaced Early Childhood (002) starting August 19, 2024.

This is a change in test code only from Early Childhood (002) to Early Childhood (801). No changes have been made to the test framework or test content.

As of February 1, 2015, candidates applying for an Integrated Early Childhood/Special Education N–K, Elementary Education Grades 1–3 Endorsement (endorsement #113) will be required to take and pass the CTCE Early Childhood (801) test. Format	Computer-based test (CBT) 100 multiple-choice questions and 2 open-response assignments

Notes	This test includes one or more assignments that allow you to handwrite and scan your responses. Review the tutorial video and scanning instructions (the instructions will be available during your test).

Tests may include questions that will not count toward candidates' scores. These questions are placed on the test to collect information about how well they perform under actual testing conditions.
